Even though they are the same bank can I open another account with Discover HSBC? I would like to keep both for building credit but the Discover is a much better deal.

I applied for a savings account with HSBC and was turned down because I have no credit.
I guess what I’m asking is how I can get and use a credit card with no bank account.
Also, how can I build credit without trapping myself in a bad credit score?

I do not think they can use their card if they are not the hirer of the car? I have a maestro debit card from HSBC but they will not accept that either. Strange how someone will offer a credit card as security but the hire companies will not accept this. guess I will buy a banger and insure it for a month then sell it when I leave jajaja
I guess if you do not care to have a credit card you are not a person?
