Credit card application
After my ex wife died I started getting collection calls to pay off a credit card she got using my ssn without my knowledge. The debt was charged off but now sold to someone else. I requested to see the application with my signature requesting the credit. We had been separated for 9 years before the divorce and I was not aware she even had it. Don’t they have to prove I am on the card and the charges were mine.
