Is it good to cancel a credit card with annual fee?

credit card
I had recently cancelled the AmEx Delta card, mainly because I misinterpreted their wording about annual fees. It was only open a year. I’ve been thinking about cancelling a couple of others with annual fees that I can’t really afford anymore. Is it better to just go the route of cutting them up, and leaving the account open? I’ve probably had my first credit card since 2004, which is still open and no balance. Thanks!

Can I get my girlfriend the same credit card offer?

offer credit card
I received an offer in the mail for an AMEX Delta miles card that was much better than what they offer online. My girlfriend just called to try to get the same offer but the sales sperson said that she needs to receive the offer in the mail. Is there anything that she could do to get the same offer in the mail? We’re both on the do-not-mail list so we hardly ever get random credit card offers.

How likely is AMEX to give out a card to someone with limited credit history?

credit card
I’m looking to get a second credit card and I’m thinking of getting American Express. I’m eighteen so I’ve only had my card for a few months, but I pay off the balance each month. My credit history is very limited so I’m not sure if it would even be worth applying to American Express. Does anyone know if they have cards that would be approved for people with limited credit history?

How can I use my credit card’s benefits without the credit card companies making any profit?

credit card
I just was approved for both an AMEX blue credit card and a Chase Freedom credit card. Can anyone give me strategies that work while dealing with the credit card companies. I always payoff my debt at the end of the month but will I still be able to collect my benefits while the credit card companies not making a profit off of me.

10pts for that person who answers my question well
I’m not doing anything that is against the law…for that person who references this.

If I pay my CR bill in full…they can’t charge me any fee…yes they are annual fee free….i’m just looking to see who here HAS EXPERIENCE COLLECTING BENEFITS FROM CR Companies

My application for Amex Blue Credit Card was declined with 745+ credit score.any idea?

compare credit cards
Hi. I’m a 24 year old young professional with an above 745 credit score (from experian) and annual income of $63k. I have three other bank credit cards with a credit line of $5k each card and 1 store credit card and 1 gas credit card. I know I might have too many credit cards for my age but I wanted an Amex CC to be the last one until Iater on. I’ve been paying balance for all my CCs on time in full, sometimes even overpaid.. And I have Savings and Checking Accts with amounts well exceed my CC balance.

I assume the reason why I got declined might be because I use my CCs too much, I barely use my Debit Cards and basically I use $6k off my $15k combined credit line each month..

Amex provided me with a letter why they’re declining my application. Please see below……………..

Any idea??
I thought my credit was pretty good and thought I would get approved for Amex blue without any problem.. But I don’t even want an Amex anymore. Can anyone give me suggestions on how I can improve my credit (not just the score, the whole history) and be approved for a good CC later on???

American Express Corporate Card/ Bad Credit?

Credit card application
I was just asked to fill out an Amex Corp Card Application so I can be issued a company card. My question is due to some bad decisions with friends and family my credit is shot. I am currently working with all debtors and am slowly paying them all off. My score is currently low and I have been promoted in my company. If the company is the underwriter but the application is requesting my SS# and current address, will my negative credit affect them issuing me a card ? I really do not want this to adversly affect my long standing relationship with my employer.
