I’ve applied for a credit card and I checked my credit score. Basically I found out I have know credit to receive a credit card. Is there anything else I can do to prepare for college?

Many credit cards will allow you to have a parent as a cosigner. Use the card, making sure to pay the bill on time.
After a while (6+ months), if you have been responsible and have a job, you will be able to credit on your own.

Look for a student credit card as opposed to some kind of high limit, low interest credit card, which is designed for people who already have established good credit. I know that Bank of America offers student credit cards which are fairly easy to get as long as you are 18, and don’t have messed up credit. If that doesn’t work, check with different credit card companies to see what they offer. There are many, many, many different kinds of credit cards.
