bad credit card debt, sold to another collection agency. How long until goes away?

offer credit card
I was one of those dumb 18 year olds who accepted every credit card offer that came in the mail. I have all paid off now accept one. It went to collections in 2002 and was recently sold to another collection agency. I understand that after 7 years your debt is sopposed to go off your credit report. Now that this debt was sold does the 7 years start over or will my 7 years be over next year?

Using credit card for backup funding in Paypal consider Cash Advance or just regular purchase?

offer credit card
Currently I have Bank as my primary and credit card for my secondary. I’m thinking to switch because I have 0% offer from a credit card on purchase till June 2010. Just want to make sure it’s not considered Cash advance or has any fee. Please suggest. Thanks.

Is there a auto repair shop that offers credit cards?

offer credit card
I got new tires last years thanks to a tire shop that offered at 0% interest credit card deal. Still have the card today, but they only change oil and work on tires. I need my car worked on.

Now I would like to do the same with an auto shop because my car is breaking down on me.

Thanks!

Want to find a free credit card to earn miles?

offer credit card
I fly a lot, spend a lot, and would like to find a free credit card to earn miles. I know some company like Delta, offer the first year free, but I don’t want this because I do not want to pay next year, and I’m sure that I wont be able to just cancel.
So do you know any company who offer free credit card?

What kind of horrible credit card offer is this?

offer credit card
Granted, I don’t have good credit. That said, I’ve gotten accepted from a card that has decent terms even if the interest rate is higher.

However, another pre-approved offer came to me with the following in fine print:

Annual membership fee: 50
Acceptance Fee (one time) $119
First time credit limit increase fee: $25
Participation Fee (every month the account is active) $6 (72 annually).

Interest rate: 18.9

I’d have signed up if it was just the interest rate and none of the fees, after all, rebuilding my credit is important.

But what kind of suckers sign up for ‘lots of fees VISA cards”?

Do credit card balance transfers hurt your credit score?

offer credit card
I keep getting these great offers from Credit CArds where I can transfer balances or no fee and no interest until a given point in the future (ussualy around 1 year).

Obviously this is going to save me money by reducing interest, but will it damage my credit score?
