Now, I am looking into auto loans. How would this effect me if I were trying to get an auto loan?
I have 4 credit cards on my report – two of them are low limit cards for stores, and I have not used the card yet. The other two are my American Express and Student Visa (i don’t really use visa anymore) but my credit limits are 2,000 and 1,700)
So, are these other cards bringing my score down? I don’t want to move into the “good” category at any point in life… Or will my score increase as I own these cards for longer and continue to pay off the balance every time? (my student visa is from 2007, and my AMEX is from 2008)
Loser or not?

i got pregnant at 17, moved out and got married to my sons dad. got my own apt and pay all my bills. I work full time. my credit score is in the 750s.
my brother, has no job, lives at home, drives my dads truck cause he dont have one. well actually, he bought a car with a loan, and the car broke down, so now he dosent drive it cause he cant fix it. dosent pay credit cards and loan so his credit is bad.
my mom kicked me out when i got pregnant, but dosent kick my brother out even though he dosent do anything for them or around the house.she says im a loser cause i got pregnant before i got married.
do yall think shes right? im tire of her compareing me to my brother.
I am 20-years-old. My family and I are (legal) immigrants. I am about to start work within the next two weeks. I want to move out and work, live and pay for my college, on my own. (I just withdrew from a Tier 1 university where I was a physics major; I have goals in life; I am not one of those bad immigrants)
Here’s the problem:
I don’t have a credit card/credit history. And the apartment office told me something about requiring the credit application. How can I do this?
1) How fast can I get a credit card after I get work?
The rent is only $389, which I can manage.
2) But how do I get the credit history?
Please assume I can get little help from my parents. I am on my own. Please help me out. I am not completely familiar with the housing business.
Thank you both for your answers and support.
